One thing I finally got around to was setting it up so all my US DRIPs that charge reinvestment fees are now directly depositing in my Harris account instead.

That money will then be redirected to my fee-free drip of choice.

OB

So - I talked to a nice lady with a strong southern accent and whatever she did on her end provided another 'tab" that I can use to make OCP payments - was something to do with my settings, being Canadian and verification??
When I get home tonight I will attempt to send an OCP through and let you know - fingers crossed!

If you registered your shares in different versions of your name they will not appear on the same page, for instance:

Mr. It Ink Again

Mr. I. I. Again

If continuing to have problems contact:

Robert.Malcolm@computershare.com (it might be ".ca" instead of ".com").

Be nice to him. He's one of the good guys at Computershare.

OB

You will be able to see both your Canadian and your US DRPs regardless of the country setting. All that changing the country setting does is offer different options for what you can do with your companies. Did you check after you switched to US/English to see if you could set up an electronic OCP?

Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. ("DPS") - they state on the website you can buy shares electronically
Yep - switched over to US - still shows all my Canadian Drips
I will be calling this afternoon to try and figure it out
That could indicate that the company in question doesn't have online purchasing...in which case, you'd have to mail a physical check. Which company are you trying to invest in?
You do it through Computershare. On the login page, on the top right switch to US/English. Then login, click on the name of the company, click on "modify" beside "purchase instructions", and then follow the directions.

So I am trying to make my first US payment to my first US Drip and want to make sure I go about this the correct way. I log into my US bank account and then what? What numbers do I need to have once I get there? Or do I do it through Computershare?
Any guidance would be great
Thanks
itinkagain

Today Google introduced a new Google search engine. Now when you go to Google and type in words to search, it starts providing possible answers while you type.

You only need to type "DRIP res" and this site pops up as the top result.

What are peoples favorite foreign index funds (as brought up by George). I assume something in the Vanguard family. I have none at the moment. Only index I own is Vanguard 500 (VFINX).

made shareholders very happy with a whopping 50 per cent dividend increase last week from 3.25 cents quarterly to 7.5 cents.
If 50% is correct then probably they meant:
Increased the 7.5 cent quarterly dividend by 3.25 cents to 10.75 cents.

Actually, the dividend was increased 50%, from 5¢ to 7.5¢.
[Website Address]
Instead of Dividend vs Bond, shouldn't it be dividend and bond?

I would thinks this is more about asset allocation/risk tolerance then simply dividend yields more than bond in the last 15 years so we should forget about bond. There are years equity don't do so well and some people may need the bond to smooth things out.
