More responses. Love it !

Retireinniagara, wow, that's quite an agressive mortgage paydown. My wife and will finish ours in 15 years (total) and I thought we were doing well, given that it's a 25 year mortgage. Well done. The same agressiveness applies to your investing, but this is good if you can do it. Of course, once we're done with the mortgage, those funds can be diverted to a target of our choice.

Tigger and Schan, yes, I forgot about the growth in dividends and yield. I really do belong in the Beginners Corner ! However, my limited mental capacity tells me that, as we are always adding in new money, by OCPing, how can you really nail down a firm figure for yield growth at any one time? I guess one thing I'd keep track of, is the total amount of MY money that I actually use to buy shares. Anything else is just growth, and you can use these figures to calculate what you've gained, as total yield, at the end of the whole process.

Vulstock. OK, I'll bite, what's "Vulie-ing?"

Cheers, Tom.

Fav. Companies: Unknown yet, from an investment point of view. There are the popular ones, but I intend to read, listen and learn.
Inv. Style: Just starting, but DRIPs sound like a good entry-level approach. I like the slow, patient investment concept, especially where I can add small amounts at regular intervals. I would like to become more involved than just handing TD money, and saying "Please do your best to make it grow."
Website 1 : avsforum.com This is a home theatre forum, and has volumes of info about do-it-yourself home theatre construction. Terrific resource! My theatre's not finished yet, but I do have a motorized screen that's unique in the home theatre world.
Website 2 : homebuiltairplanes.com Another excellent forum. Lots of helpful discussion about homebuilt aircraft, and warbird replicas.
Website 3 : cnczone.com Not all of my life is technical, but I do like this site, and the entire concept of computer controlled machining. These are DIY machines that hobbiests build and use to make a myriad of wood and metal items.
